Crider v. Collins — Fed. Cir. (argued September 10, 2026)

The Federal Circuit considers Raymond Crider's claim for a total disability rating based on individual unemployability, or TDIU, before March 5, 2021. TDIU pays at the total-disability rate when service-connected conditions prevent substantially gainful work. The Board of Veterans' Appeals denied the claim, and the Veterans Court affirmed. Crider says the Board listed tasks he could perform but failed to decide whether those abilities could support more than marginal work outside a protected setting. The Secretary says Crider is disputing factual findings that the Federal Circuit lacks power to review.
