The Fifth Circuit hears United States versus Tekippe. A jury convicted chiropractor Benjamin Tekippe of six counts of health care fraud and one count of wire fraud. The district court sentenced him to seven years in prison. The argument concerns the loss calculation used at sentencing and whether any error affected the sentence.
