Gann v. Depositors Insurance — 5th Cir. (argued August 31, 2026)

The Fifth Circuit hears Gann versus Depositors Insurance. Hail damage to a commercial roof was reported in 2022, but the insured's expert attributed it to a 2018 storm. The district court ruled for the insurer without a trial, finding that the lawsuit relied on the wrong policy and that late notice hampered its investigation. Andrew Woellner represents Gann and will seek to overturn that judgment.
