Johnson v. Tarrant County — 5th Cir. (argued August 31, 2026)
The Fifth Circuit hears an appeal over Trelynn Wormley's death after a fentanyl overdose in Tarrant County Jail. His family sued the county and the Keefe commissary companies. The district court dismissed the claims. The appeal concerns allegations of an unofficial county policy allowing dangerous drugs into the jail, and negligence claims against the commissary companies.
