Libertarian Party of Georgia, Inc., et al., Appellants v. Attorney General, State of Georgia, et al. — 11th Cir. (Sep 30, 2026)
The Eleventh Circuit hears a challenge to Georgia's campaign fundraising rules. State law lets the governor, lieutenant governor, and certain party nominees form leadership committees that can accept donations beyond ordinary candidate limits. The Libertarian and Green parties nominate by convention. They say this gives major-party campaigns a fundraising advantage, so they sued state officials. A federal judge dismissed the suit without deciding whether the law is constitutional, finding that the parties had not shown a concrete enough injury. This appeal asks whether they have standing to bring the case now.
